Anyone who’s driven in Sunshine Coast knows that a working air conditioner is essential. No one wants to be stuck in traffic when it’s 40 degrees outside!
We cater to both the newer R1234yf units as well as the older R134a units. Generally, on newer model cars you’ll find R1234yf while older models will have R134a which is being phased out.
While there is a transition to more environmentally friendly refrigerants, R134a will still be available, and in older systems, and systems designed to operate on both R134a and alternatives for years to come. It is a legal requirement that automotive workshops who provide air conditioning services continue to hold an ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence and Refrigerant Trading Authorisation if R134a is being used or present in systems being serviced.
